The Steering Group for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022 has visited Yerevan ahead of this December’s contest.
Yerevan the host city for the 20th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest has welcomed the Steering Group for the contest. Welcomed to the Headquarters of the Armenian Public Broadcasters, the representatives of Public Broadcasters and the European Broadcasting Union were shown more plans for the which is taking place in Armenia this December.
The Steering Group is formed of its Chairman, two elected Heads of Delegation, The Executive Producer of the previous host country, the Executive Producer of the current year’s host broadcaster, and the EBU Junior Eurovision Song Contest Executive Supervisor. The purpose of the Steering Group is to agree the format of the contest, raise awareness of the contest and oversee preparations for the contest.

The Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex will host Junior Eurovision 2022 on December 11. The same venue also hosted the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2011, which was the first Eurovision event in history to be hosted in Armenia. The venue can host between 6,000 and 8,000 people for large concerts. The venue is only the second to have hosted the Junior Eurovision Song Contest twice, after Minsk Arena in Belarus.
