Yle has revealed more details regarding the final of UMK 2023 which is taking place on February 25.
The Finnish broadcaster has this morning revealed further details of the nation’s selection process for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023. The running order for the final in Turku has been announced:
- Robin Packalen – “Girls Like You“
- KUUMMA – “Ylivoimainen” (Overpowered)
- Käärijä – “Cha Cha Cha“
- Keira – “No Business on the Dancefloor“
- Benjamin – “Hoida mut” (Take care of me)
- Lxandra – “Something to Lose“
- Portion Boys – “Samaa taivasta katsotaan” (We look at the same sky)
UMK 2023 will be commentated on in eight languages, with sign language and Ukrainian commentary introduced for the first time this year. Miguel Peltomaa will be providing sign language commentary, while Galyna Sergeyeva will be commentating in Ukrainian. The other languages are: Finnish, Swedish, English, Russian, Northern Sami and Inari Sami.
Anssi Autio , chief producer of UMK also confirmed that two international broadcasts of UMK 2023 will be available. Ten TV in Spain and OUTtv in the Netherlands will be broadcasting the contest on February 25.
The final of UMK 2023 will take place on February 25 in Logomo in Turku. The show will be hosted by Samu Haber. Logomo will play host to UMK for the second year in a row and the third time overall. As with the last two contests, the Finnish entry for Eurovision 2023 will be chosen by international juries (25%) and public voting (75%).

Finland first participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1961. They debuted alongside Spain and Yugoslavia. Finland has finished last in the contest on 10 occasions and has received ‘nul points’ three times. It wasn’t until 2006 that Finland won the Eurovision Song Contest. Lordi represented the country in Athens with the song “Hard Rock Hallelujah” scoring 292 points, a record total at the time.
