Vesna has won ESCZ 2023 and will represent the Czech Republic in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool with the song “My Sister’s Crown”.
After a live final last week in the Kavčí Hory television centre in Prague, the results of ESCZ were revealed tonight from Meeting Hub Opero in Prague. The show was hosted once again by Adam Mišík.
Public voting opened last week on the official Eurovision app and closed last night. International voters had 70% of a say in the results while Czech voters made up the remaining 30%.
The results were as follows (Czech voters + international voters):
- Maella – “Flood” 694 points (95 + 599) 5th
- Pam Rabbit – “Ghosting” 5,634 points (1,417 + 4,217) 2nd
- Markéta Irglová – “Happy” 1,193 points (184 + 1,009) 4th
- Vesna – “My Sister’s Crown” 10,584 points (3,501 + 7,083) 1st
- RODAN – “Introvert Party Club” 2,496 points (501 + 1,995) 3rd
Vesna will perform in the second half of the first semi-final on May 9.

Czech Republic in the Eurovision Song Contest
The Czech Republic first competed in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007. They achieved their best result at the contest with Mikolas Josef coming 6th in Lisbon 2018 with the song “Lie to Me”. Gabriela Gunčíková took the Czech Republic to their first final in 2016. This was their first appearance in the grand final despite competing 4 times previously.
