Eurovision Fun reports that North Macedonia will use a similar format to the Czech selection to determine their Eurovision 2022 selection.
According to Eurovision Fun, Eurosong is the name of the selection which was previously announced by MRT. Eurosong was used to select the Macedonian representatives in 2005 and 2006 editions of the Eurovision Song Contest.
The website also reports that recordings of the competing acts performances will be shot, in which the artists will likely perform their songs live, with a similar background. This follows the format used by the Czech selection ESCZ for the contest in Turin.
All singers and composers should be Macedonian citizens. Anyone interested in sending an entry must send it to email@example.com. The closing date for submissions is January 16, 2022.
As previously reported from the submissions received, six songs will be chosen to compete in the national final. The result of the national final will be decided by jury voting (50%) and public voting (50%). The winner will represent North Macedonia in Turin.
Vasil represented North Macedonia at Eurovision 2021 with “Here I Stand”. He finished 15th in the first Semi-Final with 23 points.

North Macedonia debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1998, however, two years earlier they attempted to participate but was knocked out in the pre-qualifying round. In 2016 they were represented by Kaliopi for a second time with the song “Dona”, she missed out on the final finishing in 11th in her semi-final. North Macedonia’s best result to date is a 7th place finish in the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest represented by Tamara Todevska and the song “Proud”.
