Duccio Forzano and Cristian Biondani have been named as the two Directors of the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest 2022.
Duccio Forzano and Cristian Biondani have been revealed as the Directors for Eurovision Song Contest 2022 which will take place in Turin, Italy. Both members of the directing team for Eurovision 2022 have a large amount of experience to aid them in the task of directing next year’s contest.
Duccio Forzano has worked on Sanremo six times since 2010 the last time being in 2019 and has also has a large amount of experience in directing local TV shows. Cristian Biondani has experience with directing the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2015 alongside Gordon Bonello, he has also worked on the MTV Europe Music Awards in 2011.
In 2022 just two people will direct the contest, the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 had three directors; Marnix Kaart, Marc Pos and Daniel Jelinek. This will be the first time since 2015 that the contest has not had three directors.
Turin will host the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 on May 10, 12 and 14 2022. The host venue of the 2022 contest is PalaOlimpico. The arena was opened in 2005 and has hosted numerous concerts and sporting events, including the ice hockey tournaments during the 2006 Winter Olympics.
