The city of Turin which will host the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 is looking for technical sponsors to aid in the hosting of the event.
The city of Turin has made a call for technical sponsors to help support the city host the Eurovision Song Contest 2022. At this time the city is not planning to sign any kind of contract with any potential technical sponsor but looking to verify the willingness of public and private groups and companies in the local area to aid the city in hosting the contest.
Turin is looking for both private and public companies that can contribute in different amounts ranging from 0 to 50,000 euros, 50,000 to 100,000 euros and amounts over 100,000 euros. In addition to the financial aspect of the sponsorship, the city is looking for companies in a range of sectors from design to lighting services and other sectors that would be relevant to helping the city host Eurovision 2022. Interested groups must submit a restest to the city by January 19th. Each submission will be evaluated by a commission and if chosen will ultimately be submitted for approval of the EBU and RAI.
The money from technical sponsors will grow to the range of funding sources of the contest which range from the city to the host broadcaster RAI. Back in October the city council of Turin approved funding to enable the hosting of the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in the city.
Turin will host the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 on May 10, 12 and 14 2022. The host venue of the 2022 contest is PalaOlimpico. The arena was opened in 2005 and has hosted numerous concerts and sporting events, including the ice hockey tournaments during the 2006 Winter Olympics.
