The revamped Maltese entry for Junior Eurovision 2021 “My Home” has been released.
The final version of “My Home” which will represent Malta at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 has been released. Ike and Kaya were selected in mid-October to represent Malta in a national final. The revamp of the song was worked on with Owen Leuellen and Junior Eurovision 2013 winner Gaia Cauchi.
It is expected that the official music video for the Maltese entry will be released in the next few days.
Who are Ike and Kaya?
Ike Mizzi and Kaya Gouder Curmi are young singers from Malta, who finished in fourth place at this year’s Malta’s Got Talent. Ike has been performing for two years and has a keen interest in rap and hip hop. Kaya is a student of La Voix Studios and has competed in various festivals, including SanRemo Junior where she placed first in her category. Kaya also attempted to represent Malta at last year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest as a soloist.

Malta debuted in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2003 and has gone on to win the contest twice. In 2013 on their return to the competition in Kyiv, Gaia Cauchi won the competition with “The Start”, she was the first winner of a Eurovision event for Malta. In 2015 Destiny Chukunyere took victory in Sofia, Bulgaria with the song “Not My Soul”. Malta finished last at the 2005 contest in Belgium and the 2019 edition in Poland.
