As tickets go on sale for the upcoming edition of the Junior Eurovision Song (JESC) Contest in Paris on December 19th, BNT share exciting news regarding their act.
Bulgaria is set to return to Junior Eurovision this year following a five year absence from the competition, this morning they shared via their official Twitter account that they will present their JESC entry on Monday November 8 with Ligna Studios and the city of Dobrich, which is partially funding the Bulgarian participation in the contest.

Ligna Studios & Team Behind Project
Since the nation’s return to the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) in 2020, team Bulgaria has worked with Ligna Studios twice for the 2020 & 2021 projects both involving representative VICTORIA, therefore they have first-hand experience regarding Eurovision and have also proven they can produce contemporary and popular songs hence Bulgaria was the bookies favorite to win Eurovision 2020 before the contest was cancelled and in 2021 the country secured their fifth ever qualification and 11th position in the finale.

Bulgaria debuted in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2007. The country has never won the contest, and their best entry comes from 2014, when Krisia, Hasan and Ibrahim and their song “Planet of the Children” placed 2nd with 147 points. Bulgaria then went on to host the 2015 contest, in the capital Sofia. Their worst result was in 2008, when Krestiana Kresteva and her song “Edna Mechta” placed 15th with 15 points. Bulgaria have withdrawn multiple times from the contest, and were absent from 2009-2010, 2012-2013 and 2017-2020.
