RREALINA has been removed from the Ukrainian Junior Eurovision selection due to issues with the copyright of her competing song.
RREALINA (Anzhelina Makfarleyn) has been forced to withdraw from the Ukrainian selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021. UA:PBC explains that her participation was terminated due to the failure to obtain the consent of the author of her entry “Angel of light”, for the song to compete in the selection.
According to the rules of the Ukrainian selection process, the organising committee for the contest took the decision to remove RREALINA from the selection. UA:PBC expresses their thanks to RREALINA for repeatedly taking part in Junior Eurovision selections for Ukraine and wishes her success in her career.
The final of the Ukrainian selection takes place tomorrow, the winner of the selection will be determined by 50% jury voting and 50% online voting. Online voting will require a Facebook or Instagram account.

Ukraine debuted in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2006 and has competed in the contest ever since. To date Ukraine has only won the competition once. In 2012 Anastasiya Petryk won in Amsterdam with the song “Nebo”, she scored 138 points including eight sets of 12 points. Ukraine has hosted the contest twice, the first time being in 2009 and the second being in 2013 following their victory in Amsterdam.
