The Czech Republic is set to select its representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin in December.
Ceska Televize has confirmed to ESC Bubble that the Czech entry for Eurovision 2022 will be chosen in December. Eurovision Song CZ 2022 will once again be an online selection, however, instead of music videos, live performances of the competing entries will be voted on.
The performances will be recorded as live-on-tape, with the recordings being released in early December. The winner will be determined by 50% international jury, 25% international public vote, and 25% Czech public voting.
A jury is currently listening to all of the submissions that were received into the selection. They will inform the acts that have been selected to take part in the final of the selection by October 20th.
Benny Cristo represented the Czech Republic at the Eurovision 2021 with “Omaga”. He finished 15th out of 17 in semi-final two scoring a total of 23 points, all 23 points came from the juries with the public awarding 0 points in the televote.
