While being in the running to represent Greece in Italy, Evangelia is also looking at representing Cyprus at Eurovision 2022.
Greek-American singer Evangelia is interested in representing Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 according to the Cyprus Mail. The newspaper reports that the singer has submitted a number of songs to RIK to consider for Eurovision.
Evangelia Psarakis, commonly known as Evangelia, is a famous American-Greek singer. She was born in New Jersey in 1991. Evangelia grew up commuting between her grandmother’s small farm on the Greek island of Crete and her parent’s home in the US on the American East Coast, consequently meaning two completely different musical worlds, both of which influenced her style.
Should Evangelia be selected to represent Cyprus in Italy, she would be the fifth singer of Greek heritage to represent Cyprus at Eurovision. Hovig was the last Cypriot-born singer to represent their nation at the Eurovision Song Contest back in 2017 with “Gravity”.
RIK has not yet publicly stated how they will be selecting their representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022.
