France 2 will be broadcasting a series dedicated to Junior Eurovision 2021 nightly from October 18.
The host broadcaster of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 will be broadcasting a series taking viewers behind the scenes of the competition. ‘Dans le secret de l’Eurovision Junior’ will be broadcast every night from October 18, with each episode lasting 5 minutes.
The exact content of the show has not yet been announced, however, the show will help to build interest in the contest during the 2 months before the event. France 2 is the host broadcaster of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021, last year 1.2 million viewers watched France taking victory in the 2020 contest.
Paris will host the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 on December 19 in La Seine Musicale. The 19 participating countries are:
- Azerbaijan: Sona Azizova
- Germany: Pauline – “Imagine Us”
- Netherlands: Ayana – “Mata Sugu Aō Ne”
- North Macedonia
- Poland: Sara James – “Somebody”
- Portugal: Simão Oliveira
- Serbia: Jovana and Dunja – “Oči deteta”
- Spain: Levi Díaz

France first participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2004 with “Si on voulait bien” by Thomas but withdrew the year after. After a 14-year break, France returned to the contest in 2018 with “Jamais sans toi” by Angélina. She finished 2nd, giving France their best result in a Eurovision contest since 1991. In 2020 Valentina would take victory in the contest with the song “J’Imagine” topping both the public and jury vote with a total of 200 points.
