Fernando Daniel and Diogo Clemente have been revealed this afternoon as the composers of this year’s Portuguese entry for Junior Eurovision.
Simão Oliveira who will represent Portugal at Junior Eurovision has revealed that Fernando Daniel and Diogo Clemente are composing his song for Junior Eurovision. The singer revealed the details whilst appearing this afternoon on Alô Marco Paulo.
No details were revealed about the genre or style of the song that he will be performing at Junior Eurovision. Fernando Daniel won The Voice Portugal in 2016 and competed to represent Portugal at Eurovision 2017, he also mentored Simão Oliveira on The Voice Kids.
Portugal is returning to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest after a one-year absence. The broadcaster did not compete in the 2020 contest due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Portugal debuted at the 2006 edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Budapest, Romania. The country placed second-last that year and the year later, before withdrawing in 2008. They were not to return until 2017 where they were represented by Mariana Venancio, who placed 14th with her song “YouTuber”.
