The title of the three songs in the running to represent Germany at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 have been revealed.
Ahead of tomorrow evenings German selection process for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, KiKA has revealed the three song titles competing to be performed in Paris. Dr. Matthias Huff (KiKA) and Ulrike Ziesemer (NDR, Head of Delegation) explained that:
Various composers were asked to produce songs via a music label. Three titles were shortlisted, of which the finalists could choose two. The songs tend to be happy. From the pop anthem to the good mood track.
The three songs are titled:
- Gut so (Good this way)
- Hausboot (Houseboat)
- Imagine Us
The three singers competing in the show are:
- Marta – An 10-year-old singer from Bad Salzuflen who has a passion for singing and dancing – Finalist
- Pauline – A 12-year-old singer from Koblenz who has won several prizes at “Jugend musiziert” – Finalist
- Emilie – A 13-year-old singer from Homburg, who also plays the trumpet and created her own youth band – Finalist
Each of the three singers competing in the selection will perform two of the songs. The winner is set to be determined by 100% televoting. A jury will be on hand to provide feedback on each of the performances, the jury is formed of Gabriel Kelly, Selina Mour and Hannah. The show is being presented by Jessica Schöne and Ben Blümel.
Junior ESC – Wer fährt nach Paris? is being broadcast live on KiKA from 19:30 CEST and will come live from the Central Club in Erfurt. The show will be available to watch internationally on the KiKA website.
