RTSH, the Albanian national broadcaster, has confirmed that they will be participating in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021.
A representative of the International Relations Department of RTSH confirmed Albania’s return to Junior Eurovision to Eurofestivales. They also revealed that RTSH will make a more detailed announcement about its participation in the next few days. Albania have used a national final to select their Junior Eurovision entrants through a national final since their debut in 2012.
Albania did not take part in Junior Eurovision 2020, citing Covid-19 restrictions as the reason for their withdrawal. Their last participation was in 2019, where Isea Çili finished 17th with “Mikja ime fëmijëri”.
