RTS has confirmed its participation in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Paris, France.
The Serbian public broadcaster has confirmed its participation for the 2021 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Paris. RTS has opened its submissions window for the contest, with an expert committee set to determine the nation’s representative.
Song submissions are open until September 20. In the event that no submitted songs meet the quality required, RTS reserves the right to choose the composition and performer outside of the submissions.
Petar Aničić finished 11th out of 12 artists competing in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2020. “Heartbeat” scored a total of 85 points, 35 from the jury and 50 points from the online vote.
Junior Eurovision 2021
Paris will host the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 on December 19 in La Seine Musicale. The following countries have confirmed their participation so far:
- North Macedonia
- Portugal – Simão Oliveira

Serbia made their debut in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest as an independent country in 2006. They were represented by Neustrašivi učitelji stranih jezika on their debut with the song “Učimo strane jezike”, finishing 5th with 81 points. Serbia went on to compete annually until 2010, after which point RTS withdrew from the contest due to financial difficulties. Serbia returned to the contest in 2014 and has gone on to compete in the contest annually.
