Moldova will not return to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest this December in Paris, France.
Moldovan broadcaster TRM has confirmed to Eurofestivales that they will not be competing at this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Paris, France at the end of December. The country made their debut in Junior Eurovision when the competition was first held in Belarus in 2010. They went on to participate in the competition four times before withdrawing from the contest in 2014.
Moldova’s best result came in 2011 when Lerika represented the nation in Yerevan, Armenia. She performed the song “No, No” and finished 6th with a total of 78 points. The nations worst result came in 2013 when Rafael Bobeica sang “Cum să fim”, he finished 11th with 41 points.
Paris will host the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 on December 19 in La Seine Musicale. The following countries have confirmed their participation so far:
