TVP, the Polish national broadcaster, has confirmed that the casting for Junior Eurovision 2021 will take place on June 5 and 6.
The casting for the third edition of Szansa na Sukces: Eurowizja Junior will take place on June 5 and 6 in Warsaw. From the castings, a group of performers will be chosen to compete in the semi-finals. One performer will advance from each semi-final to the final, where the in-studio jury and the public will choose the Polish representative for Junior Eurovision 2021 in Paris.
One name that many hope to see in the competition is Sara Egwu James, winner of the latest season of The Voice Kids Poland. While several The Voice Kids Poland alumni have competed in Szansa na Sukces, including the last two Polish representatives Viki Gabor (2019) and Ala Tracz (2020), Sara would be the first winner to take part in the selection. Dates for the show have not been announced yet but it is expected to be broadcast in September.
Poland hosted Junior Eurovision 2020 and Ala Tracz represented the host nation in Warsaw with “I’ll Be Standing”. She finished 9th with 90 points. Poland finished 9th with both the juries and the public vote.

Poland in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest
Poland participated in the first Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2003. After two consecutive last-place finishes, they withdrew from the contest and did not return until 2016. From there on, Poland’s fortunes in the contest reversed resulting in Roksana Węgiel winning in 2018 with “Anyone I Want to Be”. In 2019, the contest was hosted in the Polish city of Gliwice. Viki Gabor won on home ground with “Superhero”, giving Poland a second consecutive victory.
