The Czech Head of Press has confirmed that Tonya Graves was eligible to be a juror for the Czech Republic at Eurovision 2021.
The Head of Press for the Czech Republic at Eurovision 2021 has confirmed that Tonya Graves was eligible to be a juror at the contest. Posting on social media Ahmad Halloun confirmed that Tonya, who is originally from America, has been in the Czech Republic for over 20 years. He added that Ceska Televize received an exception from the EBU to enable her to be a juror for Eurovision 2021.
Eurocontest.cz had first reported yesterday that the Czech jury results could have been removed from the contest after reporting that Tonya Graves is an American and not a Czech citizen and thus not compliant to the contest rules.
