In a recent interview ahead of the first live show, Efendi has revealed reveals her plans after Eurovision 2021.
In our recent interview with Efendi, she Reveals she would be open to singing for Azerbaijan for the third time and has many projects her fans can look forward to.
“We have many plans and projects and I hope it will get real. Maybe I represent my country for the third time.”
When asked about what her goals were for next week once Eurovision 2021 has come to an end the singer stated she could one day be able to sing for her country for a third time at Eurovision. The singer did add that her fans should voice this view on social media to help with this goal.
Efendi stated that singing on the Eurovision stage was a very different experience from competing in other shows such as Silk Way Star which was broadcast across Central Asia, Russia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey, or The Voice of Azerbaijan. With the singer stating Eurovision “is a world scale contest”.
“Now you understand you are in the centre of Europe, and you represent your country, your culture and also you learn from other people who are here, from other countries, you share their culture, their music. And Eurovision is a world-scale contest, so it’s different. “
Efendi also has some experience acting and event was part of a local comedy movie and is hoping to be able to take part in more movies after Eurovision 2021.
“I was playing a role in a local film that was a comedy and I like this experience a lot but of course it’s really hard, I try to make my best and I like it very much. And I course want to try this again.”
The singer stated acting can be hard but she had a lot of fun from the experience and so wanted to try it again. The singer ended the interview asking fans to vote for her tonight’s show and wishing them all the best.

Who is Efendi?
She has previous experience competing on behalf of Azerbaijan, having participated in Silk Way Star which was broadcast across Central Asia, Russia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey. Efendi also placed 3rd in The Voice of Azerbaijan and most recently represented her country at the Voice of Nur-Sultan International Festival in Kazakhstan.
Last year in 2020 she was due to compete with the song “Cleopatra” which was tipped to do well at the contest last May before it was cancelled.

Azerbaijan debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2008, they were represented by Elnur & Samir with the song “Day After Day”, they finished 8th in the final. In 2011 Azerbaijan won the Eurovision Song Contest represented by Ell & Nikki and their song “Running Scared”. The song scored a total of 221 points, receiving only three sets of 12 points from Malta, Russia and Turkey. In 2018 Azerbaijan failed to qualify for the final for the first time, having previously had a 100% qualification record.
