The Grand Final of the 65th Eurovision Song Contest will take place on May 22 at Rotterdam Ahoy in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. 39 artists will take to the stage over three nights to perform their contributions for the contest, fighting to become the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2021.
Over the next week, all of the artists will have the chance to rehearse on stage and make any last-minute changes to their performance before the live broadcasts. Today, seven countries will rehearse for the first time.

10:00 CET // Goedemorgen allemaal and welcome to the first day of rehearsals for the Eurovision Song Contest 2021!
Lithuania: The Roop – “Discoteque”
10:14 CET // The rehearsal has started but we do not have any sound.
10:16 CET // The staging is mostly similar to Pabandom iš naujo with some different some differnent cameras angles.
10:24 CET // The Roop begin their third rehearsal, still with no sound.
10:25 CET // The mostly purple background graphics compliment The Roop’s signature yellow outfits.
10:27 CET // For the last chorus, Vaidotas grabs the camera and takes into around the stage, with the two dancers joining him.
10:43 CET // It seems that the very first rehearsal was not visible to the press, the second was only visual and the third was only audible for those in the online press centre.
Slovenia: Ana Soklič – “Amen”
10:57 CET //The first run of each rehearsal will not be broadcast. This is so the artists can get familiar with the stage. The second and third run through will then be broadcast in the physical and online press centres.
10:58 CET // Ana is alone on stage and is wearing the same outfit she wore at EMA 2021.
10:59 CET // Ana moves to the smaller stage for the last part of the last song.
11:06 CET // Ana begins her third rehearsal.
11:07 CET // The graphics show an explosion of a golden galaxy which changes into a pan over the Earth.
11:08 CET // The song now features a small ad-lib section before the final verse.
11:09 CET // Ana’s vocals are as powerful as ever.
Russia: Manizha – “Russian Woman”
11:35 CET // Manizha starts off the performance in a large dress with fabric from region of Russia.
11:36 CET // Manizha takes off her coat and reveals the red jumpsuit she wore in the national final, surrounded by her four backing singers.
11:37 CET // During the last chorus, the background shows clips of Russian woman singing along.
11:38 CET // First round of applause from the press centre this year.
11:47 CET // Manizha’s begins her third rehearsal.
11:48 CET // Manizha’s dress also has wheels.
11:49 CET // The background graphics go from colourful traditional Russian images to insprirational messages.
11:50 CET // Pytotechnics, the first of this year, are added to the end of the performance.
Sweden: Tusse – “Voices”
12:15 CET // Tusse’s performance begins in a similar way to his Melodifestivalen performance.
12:16 CET // Tusse is joined by four dancers on stage.
12:17 CET // The stage is lit completely in red on the last bridge before flashing lights and an explosion of gold appears on the LED screen.
12:26 CET // Tusse begins his final rehearsal.
12:27 CET // Tusse is wearing a different version of his Melodifestivalen outfit. The sleeves have been cut off and replaced with long black emobroided half-length sleeves.
12:29 CET // At the end of the second chorus, an army of people walking appears on the LED screen to match the dancers.
12:30 CET // The dancers leave the stage gradually, leaving Tusse to finish the song by himself.
