Nine online music lessons featuring this year’s Eurovision presenters, as well as Duncan Laurence and Jeangu Macrooy, were launched today.
The nine online music lessons are entirely devoted to the Eurovision Song Contest and feature all of this year’s Eurovision presenters: Chantal Janzen, Edsilia Rombley, Jan Smit and Nikkie de Jager. Alongside them, Duncan Laurence and Jeangu Macrooy are also included. The lessons are produced by “Méér Muziek in de Klas” one of the social partners of the Eurovision Song Contest 2021. The interactive music videos are intended to inspire teachers to get started with music in the classroom.
“As an artist and mother, I have experienced that good music education is important for the development of children. I really like that I can now contribute to this with Méér Muziek in de Klas and Schooltv and show young children how much fun the Eurovision Song Contest is. ” – Chantal Janzen
The lessons can be accessed via Schooltv and are aimed at the upper years of primary education. All lessons are presented in the dutch language. The first lesson will be released on April 6 and from then a new lesson will be released each week. During Eurovision week, a new lesson will be released every day.
The Eurovision Song Contest 2021 will take place on May 18, 20 and 22 in Rotterdam. A total of 41 countries will take part in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Eurovision 2020 was due to be held in Rotterdam after Duncan Laurence gave the Netherlands their first victory since 1975 with the song “Arcade”. After the cancelation of the 2020 contest, it was decided that Rotterdam would host the 2021 contest instead.
