Ema Stokholma and Saverio Raimondo will commentate for RAI 4 for the broadcasts of both the Eurovision 2021 Semi-finals.
RAI will broadcast both the semi-finals of this year’s Eurovision on RAI 4. Ema Stokholma and Saverio Raimondo have been selected to provide commentary for RAI 4 viewers. This year Italy will vote in the first Semi-final on May 18th.
Ema Stokholma also was one of the two commentators for Italy for the Semi-finals of Eurovision 2019, that same year Ema also was Italy’s spokesperson. Saverio Raimondo was also a commentator for the 2018 contest in Lisbon and covered all three live shows.
This year Maneskin will represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021. As a member of the Big 5, Maneskin will perform “Zitti e buoni” in the Grand Final, on May 22nd. Italy will also vote in the first semifinal, on May 18th, along with Germany and host nation The Netherlands.
Who are Måneskin?
Måneskin is a rock band from Rome, consisting of members Damiano David (lead vocals), Victoria De Angelis (bass), Thomas Raggi (guitar), and Ethan Torchio (drums). The group formed in 2016, while the members were in high school.
This year, Måneskin competed in the Sanremo Music Festival against 25 other participants in the Campioni category. With their song “Zitti e buoni”, they reached the super final, and ultimately won the contest with an average score of 40.7% of the votes from the jury and public combined.

Italy debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1956 and has participated a total of 42 times to date. Italy returned to the Eurovision Song Contest in 2011 having last participated in the contest in 1997, the country has withdrawn from the contest on a number of occasions in the past. Italy has won the contest twice, the first time being in 1964 and the latest being in 1990. Italy’s hosting of the contest in 1991 has been remembered as one of the most chaotic contests to date. Since their return in 2011 Italy has finished in the top 10 on seven occasions.
