The Heads of Delegation Meeting is being held remotely today marking the end of the Eurovision 2021 selection season.
The meeting sees the delegations of each of the forty competing countries are informed about the upcoming contest in Rotterdam. It is the official deadline for delegations to handover their songs, staging plans, and details of their competing acts.
🇬🇪 Georgia – Reveal of “You” – 13:30 CET
Georgia is first up today to reveal their entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam.
Tornike wrote and composed “You” himself, the song is being performed in English and is a mix of rock, pop-rock, and blues-rock, with the song being about love.
He also arranged the song in Bravo Records Studio alongside Aleko Berdzenishvili. In addition to Tornike’s vocals, the Gori Girls’ Choir, Aleko Berdzenishvili, Marian Shengelia, and Mariko Lezhava also took part in the recording of the song.
🇲🇹 Malta – Song Reveal – 17:00 CET
Destiny Chukunyere’s entry for the contest in May will be revealed at 17:00 CET. Little is currently known about the song that Destiny will be performing at Eurovision.
PBS made an open call for songwriters and producers interested in creating Destiny’s Eurovision entry in October 2020 but made no further public announcement after that date.
🇦🇿 Azerbaijan – “Mata Hari” Reveal – Time Unknown
“Mata Hari” Efendi’s entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 will be revealed today.
Azerbaijan will formally reveal Efendi’s entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 today. Efendi is set to be performing “Mata Hari” for her country on stage in Rotterdam.
The nation received about 229 song submissions for this year’s contest, of which only six of those songs were sent to the professional Focus Group, where one lucky song was chosen as Azerbaijan’s entry.
