Vasil Garvanliev is currently in Belgrade, Serbia to film his backup performance for the Eurovision Song Contest 2021.
North Macedonia’s representative for Eurovision 2021 has travelled to Serbia to record his backup performance for this May’s contest. The singer is in Belgrade to record his performance of โHere I Standโ, which will be used in the event he is unable to travel to Rotterdam in May.
Vasil will record his live-on-tape performance in Belgrade, directed by Tine Matulessy.

Here I Standโ is written and composed by Vasil, the arrangement and production is completed by Borce Kuzmanovski and Davor Jordanovski. The song is set to be revealed on March 11 alongside its official music video.
Vasil was first chosen to represent North Macedonia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 with the song โYouโ, until the contest was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On January 20 is was confirmed that Vasil would be representing the country in Rotterdam this year.
About Vasil
Vasil started his musical journey at age 7, performing at some of North Macedoniaโs most popular childrenโs festivals. Soon thereafter, he moved with his family to the United States, where he continued his career as a soloist at the Chicago Childrenโs Choir. He continued his musical training in Toronto and Milan.
Vasil returned to North Macedonia in 2018, and launched his own pop career there with three successful singles: โGjerdanโ (Necklace), โPatuvamโ (Travelling) and โMojata Ulicaโ (My street). He was also a backing singer for Tamara Todevska in the 2019 contest in Tel Aviv.
