GPB will once again use Ranina to select the Georgian representative at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
The Georgian public broadcaster has announced that Ranina will be used as the nations selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021. Ranina has been used since 2018 to select the Georgian representative for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, the applications process for the contest is now open here.
Last year at Junior Eurovision 2020 ten-year-old Sandra Gadelia was selected to represent her country after winning Ranina. She sang the song โYou Are Not Aloneโ, a song written and composed by Giga Kukhianidze and Temo Sajaia. She came 6th out of 12 acts in Poland.
Junior Eurovision 2021
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 will be held in France, who earned the right to host it after Valentina and her song โJโimagineโ won the previous year in Poland , with an amount of 200 points. Currently, the following countries have confirmed their participation:

- The Netherlands

Georgia has won the contest on three occasions, making them the country with the most victories throughout the history of the contest. Georgia debuted in JESC in 2007 with Mariam Romelashvili and her song โOdelia Ranuniโ, where she placed 4th with 116 points. Their first win was just a year later in 2008, with the trio Bzikebi and their song โBzzโ. Their second win was in 2011 with the group Candy and their song โCandy Musicโ. Most recently in 2016, eleven-year-old Mariam Mamadashvili performed her song Mzeo in JESC 2016 host city Malta, and took the victory with 239 points.
