Lúcia Moniz who represented Portugal at the Eurovision Song Contest 1996 will be an interval act for Semi-Final Two of Festival da Canção 2021.
Portugal’s second most successful Eurovision representative will be performing in the second Semi-Final of Festival da Canção 2021 this Saturday evening. RTP revealed that Lúcia Moniz will be performing as part of the show, she is best known for finishing 6th with “O Meu Coração Não Tem Cor” in Eurovision 1996, the nations best result until their victory in 2017.
The running order for Semi-Final Two is:

- Joana Alegre – “Joana do Mar”
- Pedro Gonçalves – “Não Vou Ficar”

- Carolina Deslandes – “Por Um Triz”
- Graciela – “A Vida Sem Acontecer”
- NEEV – “Dancing In The Stars”
Tania Ribas De Oliveira and Sónia Araújo are hosting the second semi-final on February 27.

Portugal debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1964 represented by Antonio Calvario, the country finished last scoring nul points. Prior to 2016, the best result of Portugal was 6th place which came in 1996 when Lucia Moniz performed in Oslo. She scored 92 points, receiving the 12 points from both Norway and Cyprus. Since their debut, Portugal have missed a total of five contests. In 2017, Portugal produced a spectacular win when Salvador Sobral took home the crystal microphone with his song “Amar Pelos Dois.” The 2018 contest was held in Lisbon, Portugal for the first time.
