Raylee has injured herself in the rehearsals for the final of Melodi Grand Prix 2021.
VG reports that Raylee has injured her ankle during the rehearsals for her performance in the final of Melodi Grand Prix 2021. The injury occurred when she was on the chair following the drop of water, she slipped when coming back down off the chair.
The injury has resulted in Raylee having a swollen foot, it’s currently not known whether she has fractured her foot. She told VG that:
If I then have to plaster my leg, I will be on stage. Then we get plaster and pull over a pair of tights. I’m not going to go out there with sneakers.
The final of Melodi Grand Prix 2021 will kick off at 19:50 CET this evening. The show will be held in three rounds. In round one all of the twelve acts will be performing. They are competing for just four places in the next round. The qualifiers are determined by the public. The running order for the first round is as follows:

- Raylee – “Hero”
- Stavangerkameratene – “Who I Am”
- KIIM – “My Lonely Voice”
- Blåsemafian feat. Hazel – “Let Loose”
- Emmy – “Witch Woods”
- TIX – “Fallen Angel”
- Kaja Rode – “Feel Again”
- Rein Alexander – “Eyes Wide Open”
- IMERIKA – “I Can’t Escape”
- KEiiNO – “Monument”
- Jorn – “Faith Bloody Faith”
In round two the four acts will perform again with two acts making it through to the Gold Duel. In the Gold Duel the Norwegian public will vote for the last time. The results will then be announced by region.

Norway debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1960 and have won the contest three times – in 1985, 1995 and 2009. The country has the dubious record of finishing last the most times, eleven in total, and have received nul points four times. Norway last won the contest in 2009 when Alexander Rybak broke all records with his song “Fairytale”. He scored 387 points in the final, receiving 16 sets of 12 points and scoring points from every country.
