The acts competing in UMK 2021 appear to have leaked ahead of tomorrow’s participant reveal.
The seven acts competing in the final of UMK 2021 have leaked just the evening before the official press conference for the contest. Leaked footage featuring a Yle watermark which reveals the UMK 2021 participants shows that Aksel Kankaanranta, who was due to represent Finland in 2020, is among the 2021 participants, as well as two time Estonian representative Laura Põldvere.

- Laura – Estonian representative in 2005 and 2017

- Teflon Brothers X Pandora
- Aksel – Was due to represent Finland at Eurovision 2020
- Danny
- Blind Channel
Seven artists will compete in the final, which will take place in the Mediapolis Studios in Tampere on February 20. The winner will go on to represent Finland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021.
The artists will be officially revealed by Yle tomorrow at 12:00 CET.

Finland first participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1961, they debuted alongside Spain and Yugoslavia. Finland has finished last in the contest on 10 occasions and has received ‘nul points’ three times. It wasn’t until 2006 that Finland won the Eurovision Song Contest. Lordi represented the country in Athens with the song “Hard Rock Hallelujah” scoring 292 points, a record total at the time.
