In Ukraine a total of 312,000 viewers followed the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020 live from Warsaw.
Ukraine’s public broadcaster UA:PBC recorded an audience of 312,000 viewers across its network for yesterdays Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The broadcast had a share of just 0.725% of the viewing public, which is nearly a third of the share the contest achieved in 2018.
Viewing figures for Junior Eurovision 2020:
- Poland – 6,000,000 viewers – 32.6% share
- France – 1.2 million – 7.3% share
- Spain – 1.082 million – 7.4% share
- Germany – 370,000 viewers – 2.5% share
- The Netherlands – 319,000 viewers – 2.0% share
- Ukraine – 312,000 viewers – 0.75% share
Ukraine finished 7th in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020 scoring a total of 106 points. Oleksandr Balabanov was 7th with the juries scoring 52 points including 10 points from Poland and Russia, he then placed 6th in the online voting scoring 54 points.

Ukraine debuted in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2006 and has competed in the contest ever since. To date Ukraine has only won the competition once. In 2012 Anastasiya Petryk won in Amsterdam with the song “Nebo”, she scored 138 points including eight sets of 12 points. Ukraine has hosted the contest twice, the first time being in 2009 and the second being in 2013 following their victory in Amsterdam.
