Sofia Feskova’s performance of “My New Day” is set to feature augmented reality according to Russian media reports.
Tele.ru reports that Sofia Feskova’s Junior Eurovision performance will feature augmented reality. The performance which was recorded in Moscow will feature a “magical dream” according to the young performer. She told the publication that:
My number should turn out to be very beautiful and even fabulous. I hope the audience will like it. When I sing my song on stage, behind my back, bright pictures from magical dreams come to life on the screens. (It) Looks fantastic!

Sofia will be wearing a blue dress that has been specifically created for the competition (see image left) Sofia will be alone on stage for her performance which will be broadcast on November 29. Sofia is likely to be one of a number of acts performing alone on stage at this years contest, Oleksandr Balabanov has also confirmed he will be alone for her performance.
Who is Sofia Feskova?
Eleven-year-old Sofia Feskova is from St. Petersburg, Russia. The singer is no stranger to competitions, having competed in the Junior New Wave competition and making it to the final. Sofia competed in the Russian Junior Eurovision selection this year, finishing in 1st place, 6 points ahead of runner up Rutger Garecht.
Her song ‘My New Day’ is about how you should “never give up, keep going, and fill every day with generosity and happiness”.
Russia made their debut in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2005 and has participated in the contest every year since. The country won the contest for the first time in 2006 when they were represented by the Tolmachevy Twins with the song “Vesenniy jazz”, who scored a total of 154 points. Russia had never finished outside of the top 10 in their time at the contest until 2019, and have finished second twice, fourth four times, and fifth once. At the 2017 contest in Georgia, Russia won the contest for a second time represented by Polina Bogusevich and “Wings”.
