Arina Pehtereva has revealed details of her Junior Eurovision 2020 performance.
Ahead of next weeks Junior Eurovision Song Contest, Arina has revealed a few details of her performance of “Aliens”. The singer explained that her staging will be similar to her music video with the performance designed to look like the singer is in space.
In addition the outfit that Arina will be wearing will feature the lyrics of her song. At the contest she will be performing the song in both Russian and English.
Arina also revealed that the performance that will be broadcast on Sunday was the second performance that she recorded with BTRC. She went on to explain that she has rehearsed numerous times to ensure that everything was perfect before stepping in front of the cameras in the studio in Minsk.
Who is Arina Pehtereva?
Twelve-year-old Arina Pehtereva was born in Mogilev, Belarus. She began her singing lessons at six years old, and has since participated in numerous national and international competitions, including The Voice Kids. The singer is no stranger to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, having participated in the Belarusian national final on multiple occasions.
Arina was internally selected by BTRC to represent her country at this year’s contest with her song “Aliens”.

Belarus debuted at the first edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2003, and have been present at every contest since. To date, Belarus have won the contest twice – first in 2005 with Ksenia Sitnik and her song “My Vmeste”, which received 149 points, and the second time in 2007 with Alexey Zhigalkovich and his song “S Druz’yami”, which received a total of 137 points. Their worst entry came from Egor Volchek and his song “Spjavajtse So Mnoj” in 2004, which received only 9 points. Belarus have placed in the top 3 a total of 5 times to date.
