The five acts competing in the semi-final of Ranina 2020 have been determined after the eight show of the series this evening.
The acts that will compete in the semi-final of Ranina next Friday were determined this evening. After eight episodes of the opening round, the acts that scored the highest number of points across their four performances made it through to the next round.
The results of this evenings show were:
- Marita Khvedelidze – 40, 40, 39 – 119 points
- Shio Kavsadze – 40, 39, 38 – 117 points
- Nikoloz Maghdradze – 38, 38, 37 – 113 points
- Veronika Shamugia – 40, 40, 40 – 120 points
- Sandra Gadelia – 40, 39, 38 – 117 points
The five semi-finalists are:
- Sandra Gadelia
- Rati Gelovani
- Nia Khinichkashvili
- Marita Khvedelidze
- Shio Kavsadze
In the semi-final three acts will be chosen to compete in the final, the winner will represent Georgia in Warsaw.

Georgia debuted in JESC in 2007 with Mariam Romelashvili and her song “Odelia Ranuni”, where she placed 4th with 116 points. Their first win was just a year later in 2008, with the trio Bzikebi and their song “Bzz”. Their second win was in 2011 with the group Candy and their song “Candy Music”. Most recently in 2016, eleven-year-old Mariam Mamadashvili performed her song Mzeo in JESC 2016 host city Malta, and took the victory with 239 points.
