Two of the performers due to take part in Junior Songfestival 2020 this evening have withdrawn due to testing positive for COVID-19.
Robin and Demi from Unity have had to withdraw from competing in this evenings Dutch Junior Eurovision selection, having both tested positive for COVID-19. The withdrawal means that there will now only be three acts competing in the final at the Rotterdam Ahoy, while Unity will be performing as a group of three singers instead of four.
In addition to the two performers juror Emma Heesters has also had to withdraw from appearing on the show. A person that she has been in contact with has tested positive from COVID-19 and as a precaution will not be appearing on the show. She is instead replaced by Fenna Ramos.
AVROTROS have explained that Robin will not be featured at all during this evenings show meaning she cannot compete in Junior Eurovision. While if Unity wins this evening Demi will be able to perform in November. It is not possible to delay the national final from this evening.
