Blink TV has announced that Eurovision – Australia Decides will be returning in 2022 to Gold Coast.
Eurovision – Australia Decides will next be held in 2022, Blink TV has confirmed. The televised selection process was first held in 2019 with Kate Miller-Heidke being selected to represent Australia in Tel Aviv, Montaigne then won the 2020 selection process.
Montaigne was selected by SBS to represent Australia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021, following the cancellation of the 2020 contest. It is not yet known how the song that Montaigne will sing in Rotterdam will be selected.
Montaigne has spoken recently regarding the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 and has expressed reservations regarding whether the contest will still go ahead.

Australia debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2015 as part of celebrations marking 60 years of the Eurovision Song Contest. The broadcaster SBS has broadcast Eurovision in Australia since 1983. Australia’s best result to date came in 2016 Australia when Dami Im, with the song “Sound of Silence,” finished in 2nd place in the final scoring 511 points, just 23 points away from victory.
