The Georgian selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020 commences this evening with the first Ranina show.
Ranina 2020 commences this evening with ten young singers competing to represent Georgia at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020. The singers this evening will be performing in the first of four thematic rounds, during which time they will be judged by a panel of three judges.
The ten competing singers are:
- Cecil Thurmanidze
- Veronica Shamugia
- Sandra Gadelia
- Rati Gelovan
- Gio Gogiashvili
- Marita Khvedelidze
- Nikoloz Reddit
- Shio Kavsadze
- Nia Khinchikashvili
- Lela Kveniashvili
The three jurors for the first thematic round are:
- Elene Kalandadze – Singer, host of the morning program of the First Channel
- Davit Evgenidze – musician, composer, main music producer of the First Channel
- Giorgi Asanishvili – Presenter of the program Akustikis
Each of the thematic rounds will be held featuring two episodes on each theme, all ten competing acts will be judged by a three member jury during these shows, the jury will change for each theme. The five acts that score the highest points total during these eight shows will then progress through to a semi-final. In the semi-final three acts will be chosen to compete in the final, the winner will represent Georgia in Warsaw.
