Work has commenced on the final version of “Stronger With You”, the German entry for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020.
The final version of the debut entry for Germany at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest is being worked on. KiKA has released photos from the recording studio where Susan and songwriter Levent Geiger have been working on the final version of “Stronger With You”. Once the final version of the song has been completed Susan will travel to Berlin to film the official music video for her song.
Susan was announced as the German representative earlier this week, having made it through to the final five of the nations selection process. Over 70 young singers had applied to represent Germany on their debut in the contest in Warsaw.
Two songs were written by Levent Geiger as potential entries for Junior Eurovision. A ballad titled “Stronger with You” and a pop song titled “See You Later”. In the end the jury selected Susan with the song “Stronger With You”.
Germany was due to participate in both the 2003 and 2004 contest but later withdrew. Despite this, a German delegation was sent to observe the contest on multiple occasions, including 2013, 2014 and and 2019. NDR also broadcast the 2015 and 2016 contests online. Germany is the last of the Big 5 nations to compete in the contest. Of not as well is that Viki Gabor, winner of Junior Eurovision 2019, was born in Germany.
