Khabar has revealed the twelve acts that will be competing to represent Kazakhstan at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020.
The Kazakh broadcaster has revealed the twelve acts the public have chosen to compete in the nations selection for Junior Eurovision 2020. The twelve acts are:
- Islam Saypollda
- Adiya Burhanova
- Aydana Jumajan
- Akjibek Manarbekkızı
- Kamila Gazizkızı
- Ayım Mukitanova
- Mahinur Tursunova
- Saniya Altınbekkızı
- Aykerim Tleubek
- Makim Jan
- Başanova Karakat
- Nurşat Kusanova
In total over 650,000 votes were cast during the online voting period between August 26 and 31. Islam Saypolda won the online vote with a total of 34,543 votes ahead of Adiya Burkhanova on 34,105 votes.
The final of the Kazakh selection will take place on September 26. The acts will now work on the songs that they wish to represent Kazakhstan with on stage in Warsaw.
The winner of the Kazakh national final will be selected entirely by public voting, the public will be able to vote by calling or SMS. In the event that two acts receive the exact same number of votes, the jury will determine the winner. Khabar has stated that the format of the national selection and location of the show will be subject to COVID-19.
