UA:PBC has revealed the eleven acts that will be competing to represent Ukraine at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
After submissions from one hundred and five singers and groups, eleven have been selected by a jury to go through to the final of the Ukrainian selection for Junior Eurovision 2020. A total of seventy of the one hundred and five submissions were deemed eligible to compete in the selection. The finalists are:
- Polina Babiy
- Oleksandr Balabanov
- Yuliya Karimi
- Anzhelina Makfarleyn (Rrealina)
- Yaroslav Politov (Yar Politov)
- Anhelina Terennikova
- Olena Usenko (Ellen(
- Sofiya Shkidchenko
- Nikita Achkasov
- Darin Osman
- Daniyela Shapchnikova
Polina Babiy through to Sofiya Shkidchenko will all be competing with the songs that they submitted into the selection. Nikita and Darin were chosen as the two finalists who performed covers, while Daniyela received the most likes from the public.
The eleven finalists now have until September 4 to record the final of the song they wish to compete with in the final. This means the two covers finalists can now record their entries, while the remaining nine acts may refine their songs.

Ukraine debuted in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2006 and has competed in the contest ever since. To date Ukraine has only won the competition once. In 2012 Anastasiya Petryk won in Amsterdam with the song “Nebo”, she scored 138 points including eight sets of 12 points. Ukraine has hosted the contest twice, the first time being in 2009 and the second being in 2013 following their victory in Amsterdam.
