Poland will select their representative for Junior Eurovision 2020 in a televised final of Szansa na Sukces – Eurowizja Junior 2020 on September 27.
TVP has revealed more details regarding how Poland will select their representative for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020. A total of twenty-one singers will be competing across 4 weeks to represent Poland this November in Warsaw.
Three semi-finals will be held on September 6, 13 and 20, with seven singers competing in each semi-final. In the semi-finals the singers will perform covers of songs selected by the shows producers. A jury of between two and three artists will select one act to qualify from each semi-final, the jury will be different for each show.
In the final on September 27, the three finalists will perform two songs. They will perform a song selected by the producers, plus the song they wish to represent Poland with in Warsaw. The winner will be determined by 50% jury vote and 50% SMS voting, in the event of a tie the act that received the most points from the jury wins.
Szansa na Sukces – Eurowizja Junior 2019 saw Viki Gabor selected as the winner. She went on to win the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 on home ground in Gliwice, making Poland the first country in Junior Eurovision history to win consecutive contests and the first host country to win.
Junior Eurovision 2020
Junior Eurovision 2020 is to be held on November 29 in the Polish capital of Warsaw. The competition is being hosted by the Polish public broadcaster TVP, after Viki Gabor took victory with the song “Superhero”. The show will be staged in a TV studio facility in Warsaw, not a large arena as has been seen in previous years.

Poland participated in the first Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2003. After two consecutive last place finishes, they withdrew from the contest and did not return until 2016. From there on, Poland’s fortunes in the contest reversed resulting in Roksana Węgiel winning in 2018 with “Anyone I Want to Be”. In 2019, the contest was hosted in the Polish city of Gliwice. Viki Gabor won on home ground with “Superhero”, giving Poland a second consecutive victory.
