Italy are still deciding whether to take part in this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Warsaw, Poland.
Italian broadcaster RAI has confirmed to Eurovoix.com that they are still yet to make a decision on whether they will participate in this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The country has been present at the contest since their debut in 2014, the year in which they also won the contest with Vincenzo Cantiello’s “Tu Primo Grande Amore”. Last year Rai Gulp saw its largest viewing audience for the contest since 2016.
Italy was represented by Marta Viola at the 2019 contest with the song “La Voce Della Terra” and finished in 7th position.
Junior Eurovision 2020
Junior Eurovision 2020 is to be held on November 29 in the Polish capital of Warsaw. The competition is being hosted by the Polish public broadcaster TVP, after Viki Gabor took victory with the song “Superhero”. The show will be staged in a TV studio facility in Warsaw, not a large arena as has been seen in previous years.

Italy debuted in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2014. Their first and only win to date was on their debut, when Vincenzo Cantiello came in 1st place with 159 points with his song “Tu Primo Grande Amore”. Their worst result was in 2015 when twins Chiara & Martina came 16th with 34 points with their song “Viva”. Since their debut, Italy have participated in every contest.
