Spain will participate in the 2020 Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
Spanish broadcaster RTVE has confirmed that Spain will take part in this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Warsaw, Poland. The broadcaster stated that they’re already looking for their next participant, however it has not yet been confirmed whether they will be selected internally or via a national selection.

Spain took part in the contest last year for the first time since 2006, where they finished in 3rd place with Melani Garcia’s “Marte”. The nation had appeared in the first 4 instalments in the contest from 2003-2006, even winning the contest in 2004 with “Antes muerta que sencilla” by María Isabel before taking a long break from 2007-2018. Spain hold a very impressive track record in the contest with Melani retaining the success of the nation finishing top 5 in all 5 of their attempts.
Junior Eurovision 2020
Junior Eurovision 2020 is to be held on November 29 in the Polish capital of Warsaw. The competition is being hosted by the Polish public broadcaster TVP, after Viki Gabor took victory with the song “Superhero”. The show will be staged in a TV studio facility in Warsaw, not a large arena as has been seen in previous years.
To date, the following countries have confirmed participation in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Poland:

- Netherlands
