Kazakhstan will participate in this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Warsaw, Poland.
Kazakh broadcaster Khabar TV has revealed that they will take part in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, after being invited by the EBU for the third year in a row. It’s not yet been revealed how they will select their participant, but they have opted for a national final and internal selection in the past.
The country first participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2018, with Daneliya Tuleshova and her song “Ozine sen”. She went on to finish in 6th place. The following year, Kazakhstan was represented by Yerzhan Maksim with the song “Armanyńnan qalma”, which scored a total of 227 points. Kazakhstan won the jury vote scoring 148 points, but was 5th with the online vote scoring 79 points, and finished in 2nd place overall.
Junior Eurovision 2020
Junior Eurovision 2020 is to be held on November 29 in the Polish capital of Warsaw. The competition is being hosted by the Polish public broadcaster TVP, after Viki Gabor took victory with the song “Superhero”. The show will be staged in a TV studio facility in Warsaw, not a large arena as has been seen in previous years.
