NRK has confirmed that Norway will not be participating in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Warsaw, Poland.
Norway is the latest country to confirm that it will not be participating in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020. Norway who last participated in 2005 join Latvia who also announced this week that they will not be taking to the stage in Warsaw this November.
Norway last participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2005, when Malin Reitan came third with “Sommer og skolefri”, Norway’s best result in the contest. Norway was one of the original 16 countries to take part in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest and hosted the 2004 contest in Lillehammer. Norway also took part in MGP Nordic alongside Denmark, Sweden and Finland in 2002 and from 2006 to 2009.
Junior Eurovision 2020
Junior Eurovision 2020 is to be held on November 29 in the Polish capital of Warsaw. The competition is being hosted by the Polish public broadcaster TVP, after Viki Gabor took victory with the song “Superhero”. The show will be staged in a TV studio facility in Warsaw, not a large arena as has been seen in previous years.
