MRT has confirmed to escXtra that no decision has yet been made regarding Junior Eurovision 2020 participation.
The Head of Delegation for North Macedonia has confirmed to escXtra that the national broadcaster has yet to make a decision regarding Junior Eurovision participation. In a statement Rade Spasovski explained:
We have not yet made a decision on our participation on JESC 2020, we are waiting for EBU instructions.
Junior Eurovision 2020 is to be held on November 29 in the Polish capital, Warsaw. The competition is being hosted by the Polish public broadcaster TVP, after Viki Gabor took victory with the song “Superhero”. The show will be staged in a TV studio facility in Warsaw, not a large arena as has been seen in previous years.
To date, the following countries have confirmed participation in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Poland:

North Macedonia was one of sixteen countries to take part in the first edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2003. On their debut they were represented by Marija & Viktorija with the song “Ti ne me poznavaš” finishing 12th with 19 points. Macedonia’s best result to date is 5th place, which they achieved in 2007 with “Ding Ding Dong” by Rosica & Dimitar and in 2008 with “Prati mi SMS” by Bobi Andonov.
