NDR has revealed a previously unreported aspect of Eurovision: Europe Shine a Light which will be broadcast on May 16.
Landmarks across Europe are set to be illuminated as part of a feature of Eurovision: Europe Shine a Light, the show which replaces the cancelled Eurovision Song Contest 2020.
The feature is called ‘Europe Shine a Landmark’ and according to Eurovision.de will see one landmark illuminated in a number of countries during the show. Germany has confirmed it will feature in this segment, the other countries and landmarks featuring have not been revealed.
Eurovision: Europe Shine a Light will be broadcast live across Europe on May 16 hosted by Chantal Janzen, Edsilia Rombley and Jan Smit. The show will pay tribute to the forty one acts who had been due to compete in Eurovision 2020 and feature past Eurovision participants. The show will also look at the people of Europe affected by the coronavirus and aid workers who are fighting this crisis.
