RTVSLO has informed Evrovizija.com of the broadcasters plans for alternative Eurovision content on May 16.
The Slovenian national broadcaster has revealed its broadcast plans for what would have been the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2020. RTVSLO will be broadcasting Eurovision: Europe Shine a Light, bring the number of confirmed broadcasters to sixteen.
In addition to Eurovision: Europe Shine a Light, RTVSLO is also working on a 1 hour special about EMA 2020, Ana Soklič and the history of EMA. The special will be broadcast at 20:00 local time, 1 hour before the live broadcast of Eurovision: Europe Shine a Light.

Slovenia was one of three countries to join the Eurovision Song Contest in 1993. The country qualified through a specially organised selection round called “Kvalifikacija za Millstreet” which was hosted in Slovenia, seven countries competed for three spots in Eurovision 1993. The country has participated in 22 editions of the Eurovision Song Contest. Their best result came in 1995 when Darja Švajger finished 7th scoring a total of 84 points, she is closely followed by Nuša Derenda who finished 7th in the 2001 contest with 70 points.
