Martijn Nieman the Director of the postcards for the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 has revealed how each of the postcards opens.
Martijn Nieman has explained in an interview with RTVE that each of the postcards for Eurovision 2020 will start with the participant opening their eyes. The opening of the artists eyes follows the contests theme of “Open Up”.
Filming of the postcards for Eurovision 2020 commenced this week with Blas Cantó travelling to the Netherlands. The Spanish postcard sees Blas spend a night at a famous Dutch museum and exploring the culture of the Netherlands.
Each of the postcards this year will see Dutch people showing a participant an aspect of Dutch life and sharing it with the audience viewing at home. At the museum Blas was guided around by Hanneke, Yanell and Yasmin.
The Eurovision Song Contest 2020 takes place in the Ahoy Arena in Rotterdam on the May 12, 14 and 16. The Netherlands won the right to host the competition following their win in 2019 with Duncan Laurence and the song “Arcade”.
