VAL will represent Belarus at the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam, The Netherlands with the song “Da vidna”.
Twelve acts took to the stage in Minsk this evening, vying to represent Belarus at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. The show was hosted by Helena Meraai and Evgeny Perlin. The winner was determined by a mixture of public voting (50%) and jury voting (50%).
Performing tonight was:

- Sasha Zakharik – Rocky Road
- Anastasia Malashkevich – Invisible
- CHAKRAS Group – La-ley-la
- Nastya Glamozda – Burning Again
- Anastasia Razvadovskaya – Hello
- Yan Yarosh – Fire
- Angelika Pushnova – True Love
- Daria Khmelnitskaya – On Fire
- AURA – Barani svajo
- Keysi – Chili Pepper
- VAL – Da vidna
The jury’s favourite of the night was Yan Yarosh, and the public’s was CHAKRAS, however it was VAL who came out on top after gaining a significant amount of points from the jury and the public.
On the jury were some familiar faces such as Dmitry Koldun (Belarus 2007) and Zena (Belarus 2019).
Belarus debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2004 and has made it to the final on five occasions. Belarus’ best result in the contest came in 2007 when Dmitry Koldun finished 6th in the final with a total of 145 points. In total Belarus has qualified for the Eurovision final six times in sixteen attempts.
