The running order for Finland’s Eurovision selection show has been revealed.
Finnish broadcaster YLE has determined the order in which the six competing artists will perform at Uuden Musikiin Kilpailu 2020. Opening the show will be Catharina Zühlke with her song “Eternity”, while Tika will close the show with “I Let My Heart Break”.
The full running order is as follows:
- Catharina Zühlke – Eternity
- Erika Vikman – Cicciolina
- Aksel Kankaanranta – Looking Back
- F3M – Bananas
- Sansa – Lover View
- Tika – I Let My Heart Break
The winner will be determined by a combined score from the Finnish televote and an international jury.
The final will take place on March 7th, and will be hosted by Krista Siegfrids, the artist that represented Finland at the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest with her song “Marry Me”. Since then, she has participated in Sweden’s selection show Melodifestivalen two times, and has hosted UMK every year since 2016.
Finland first participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1961, they debuted alongside Spain and Yugoslavia. Finland has finished last in the contest on 10 occasions and has received ‘nul points’ three times. It wasn’t until 2006 that Finland won the Eurovision Song Contest. Lordi represented the country in Athens with the song “Hard Rock Hallelujah” scoring 292 points, a record total at the time.
